Our room was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We stayed on a room only basis as we had an early morning flight. We paid an additional fee for short term car parking, which worked out cheaper than the cost of airport meet & greet service. The airport shuttle service was excellent. Phones were easily located in the airport, on our return, and instructions/ hotel number provided which made everything very easy and hassle free. Within 5 minutes of reaching bus stop D, Mossy, the driver, arrived to collect us. Mossy was excellent, he was friendly, relaxed & chatty, smartly dressed and very helpful, and it was like having our own private transport service as we had the bus to ourselves. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, the food was well presented, tasty and good portion size. Only one minor point an that was that our side of onion rings wasn't initially served with our meal, as if it had been forgotten and was served about 5 mins later. Both the bar & restaurant areas were busy and we experienced a good lively atmosphere.

Great location, the proximity to the train station and the pedestrian land bridge to T1 , probably your best kept secret! The walk and open much appreciated when travelling for long periods in small aluminium tubes called aeroplanes or trains. Great to see Bewleys Tea and Coffee, you had me thinking of Grafton Street 😀

Dressing gown and slippers provided, all amenities to make tea/coffee etc, room was clean, bed was comfortable, had a bath (huge win for me!), extremely easy to walk from the train station at Manchester airport to the hotel, extremely easy to walk to the airport terminals from the hotel, felt safe there, staff at the front desk were super friendly and accommodating, booked me onto the complimentary shuttle with ease, shuttle turned up in plenty of time, was provided with breakfast to go as I had an early flight and would miss my included breakfast. Just overall great experience.

All went well. Check in, parking, luggage cart handy, everything was fast and smooth. The room was spacious and the bathroom spotless with an excellent shower. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptionally good and an enjoyable surprise when we were really only killing time for an early morning flight. Shuttle to the Terminal was prompt and, as always, spacious. The shuttle staff are always a treat. So friendly, upbeat and totally helpful.

Well appointed, comfortable and clean room. Friendly helpful staff and easy check in and out. Efficient and reliable free airport transfer. It's an airport hotel and often staff don't care because people are in and out each day; but staff were great. I was also able to check in at midday which was a bonus after a cancelled flight and subsequent hassle.

I have always stayed over the road in another expensive hotel chain yet The Clayton exceeded them on EVERY level. My room was comfortabke and clean, i got a call to ask if i was happy with my room and if i was ok, I ordered room service that was spot on, I spoke with super friendly staff everywhere in the hotel, whether it was the recptionist, room service, bar staff, cleaners, sirport transfer driver, you can tell they all have the same customer service experience they want to deliver. My days staying in the 'over the road hotel thats more expensive' are long gone as these guys know how to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you all and please please keep up the good work. Xx

It did the job: helped us with a good night's sleep the night before an extremely early flight. Tea and coffee provided in the room - would have been good to have biscuits and hot chocolate too. Very quiet, despite being so near the airport. Shuttle service excellent. Would stay again if necessary.

The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a good sleep. Breakfast was very good and very well priced. Transport to and from the train station was also very good.
